Service Description

Offers a six-bed inpatient substance use treatment program for youth (12 – 18 years, all genders).

  • Provides group educational and recreational programming tailored to meet the needs of individual residents, including group and individual counselling.
  • Length of stay decided on an individual basis.
  • Group sessions take place once a day with a minimum of two session topics.
  • Individual and family sessions are available if parent/guardians are involved.
  • Residents attend twelve step meetings in the community (minimum two times a week).
  • Residents are required to participate in their schoolwork.
  • Post discharge planning includes vocation skills development and connecting to additional services in the community.

Eligibility

- 12 to 18 years old - All Genders - Reside in Saskatchewan - Parental/Guardian Consent (ages 12-15) - Minimum 2 weeks detoxed prior to admission date (flexibility discussed during referral) - Stable mentally/behaviorally

Application Process

To self refer:
1) Preparation: read the Participant Manual. Speak with your parent(s)/guardian(s) about your interest in attending treatment (12-15 year-olds require their consent) -- contact (306-773-0567/admissions@southwestyes.com) for help with this conversation and/or to discuss options.
2) Contact (306-773-0567/admissions@southwestyes.com) to express interest (will need to provide full name, birth date, health number, address, and phone number).
3) You will be called to begin the intake process.

For Parents/Guardians referrals:
1) Preparation: Preparation: read the Participant Manual. Speak with your youth about your interest in them attending treatment -- contact (306-773-0567/admissions@southwestyes.com) for help with this conversation and/or to discuss options.

3) You will be called to begin the intake process.
