Service Description

Offers training for professionals, including domestic violence professionals, family law professionals, law enforcement, healthcare, and other businesses and organizations. Courses include:

  • Safe & Together Model – Offers a One-Day Overview training, a Four-Day CORE training, as well as a short introductory presentation. This provides the foundation for domestic violence-informed practice.
  • Understanding the Dynamics of Domestic Violence for Family Lay Practitioners – 15-hour training provides an overview of the dynamics of domestic violence in the context of separation, divorce and child custody/access/parenting time.
  • Make it our Business: Addressing Domestic Violence in the Workplace – One-hour and full-day training sessions that provide information to engage employers and other workplace stakeholders on the impact of domestic violence on the workplace.
  • ODARA Training – Full-day training. This is a 13-item risk assessment instrument to be used with clients to assess the risk that their partner will assault them again.
  • Presentations and Training on Violence and Abuse – Offers presentations and training on the prevalence and dynamics of intimate partner violence and abuse, best practices and resources. Length and focus of training is tailored to fit the needs of the group.

Professionals in healthcare, law enforcement, justice/legal system, social services and education.
