Service Description

Cybertip.ca is Canada’s tipline for reporting online child sexual abuse and exploitation. Receives and processes tips from the public about potentially illegal material online, such as child sexual abuse images and videos, child trafficking, shared intimate images, online luring, and other areas of child exploitation. Connected initiatives include:

  • Project Arachnid – An innovative set of tools that helps to remove harmful-abusive content from the internet.
  • Survivor Advocacy Groups – Works with survivors to effect change.
  • NeedHelpNow.ca – Supports youth (ages 18 years and under) who have been targeted by the non-consensual distribution of intimate images. Helps youth gain back control over their image/video through practical steps.
  • Self/Peer Exploitation Guide – A guide that helps educators and parents respond to incidents of self/peer exploitations, better known as sexting.
  • ProtectKidsOnline.ca – A website that helps parents and caregivers stay on top of the digital world while providing proactive strategies to help keep children and youth safe while online.
