Service Description

Offers programming focused on First Nations’ culture and practices, including activities such as making drums, bows, feather boxes, or dreamcatchers, and attending Sweat Lodge ceremonies and cultural events.

Gives youth an opportunity to:

  • develop a sense of First Nations cultural pride
  • develop relationships with community and elders
  • keep cultural traditions alive.

Also introduces the youth to the various cultural and ethnic groups within the city of Saskatoon.

Eligibility

Youth 15 - 25 years of age.

Application Process

Youth come generally by self-referral. Referrals are accepted from outside agencies such as the Young Offenders Program. Youth are not screened, meaning any youth interested are given a chance to participate.
