Service Description
Provides stable, safe and supportive long-term housing for youth (ages 16 – 21) in care of the Ministry of Social Services (MSS). All referrals to the program are through MSS.
Cedar House operates using a Mentor model and offers support to youth in the program with goal-setting, life skills development and long-term planning. Youth are supported in their decision-making process and receive guidance in areas such as education, employment and independent living.
NOTE: Residence location is private – details provided upon application/intake.
Eligibility
Male youth 16 - 21 years of age involved with criminal justice or child welfare system.
Application Process
Referred by the Ministry of Social Services.
