Service Description

Authorized to provide representation in appeals of an individual’s employment insurance decision by Service Canada. This is a two step process.

  • Step 1 – Request for Reconsideration – A Request for Reconsideration can be filed to require the Employment Insurance Commissiion/Service Canada to review an individual’s decision if the decision of Service Canada is deemed to not be correct in fact or law.
  • Step 2 – Appeal to the E.I. Division of the Social Security Tribunal of Canada – If the Request for Reconsideration is denied, the decision by Service Canada can be reviewed for a possible appeal.

Eligibility

Individuals negatively affected by an Employment Insurance Commission decision.
