Service Description

Public Health Nurses (PHNs) are registered nurses whose practice promotes the health of individuals, families, communities, and populations. Focuses on preventive health services and takes place in places where people live, work and play.

Services may include but are not limited to:

  • Pre-natal health
  • Postnatal health
  • Child health clinics
  • School services
  • Communicable diseases
  • Immunizations
  • Community development and action
