Service Description

If you see a discarded needle, you can choose to dispose of it yourself, or you can report it to have someone come and pick it up.

  • Through the app/website (reportneedles.ca), people who come across needles can register their exact location on a map and then upload a picture of what they see to help guide those who will be cleaning them up to the precise spot.
  • An APSS staff member closest to the reported discarded needle will come out and dispose of the discarded needles, even after office hours.

Visit website for further information, including:

  • What to do if you find a used needle on the street
  • When to call for help
  • What are the risks
  • What should you do if you get poked by a needle
