Service Description
Provides clients with the supports necessary to reside in their own home. The program is tailored to the needs of the participant. Workers assist clients with skills for daily living, such as cooking, banking and shopping. Participants receive emotional support and are encouraged to seek vocational and recreational opportunities. When appropriate, participants are provided with information regarding relocation. SILP workers may act as advocates for participants and may become liaisons between the participants and other agencies. The goal is to assist participants to achieve an optimum level of independence, personal growth and quality of life.
