Service Description
Assists individuals with recent involvement in the criminal justice system to bridge the gap to successful attachement to the labour market. Goals of the program are to:
- Foster inclusive labour market participation through preparation for employment and access to quality employment opportunities for individuals recently involved in the criminal justice system, and facing obstacles to entering into and staying in the labour force
- Provide access to technology and increase digital skills to increase access to employment and training opportunities for individuals recently involved in the criminal justice system
- Provide skill development, training, and labour market information to support individuals with skills gaps to build capacity and align skills with current and future labour market needs and opportunities to advance in their careers
- Create efficient labour markets by encouraging employer involvement and continuous learning opportunities to ensure a skilled workforce that will contribute to improved productivity and economic growth.
Eligibility
Individuals, 16 years of age or older, who have:
- been incarcerated
- are currently on probation
- are currently paroled or court ordered
- been recently involved with the provincial justice system.

Work Prep is also closed the 4th Wednesday of every month until 12:00 p.m. for our monthly staff meeting.
