Service Description
An intensive, client centered, trauma informed, home visiting program for families focusing on reducing risk and building on family strengths to:
- Prevent the removal of children from families
- Reunite children with their families
- Keep children in family’s care and preserve the family unit
Support staff work with families in a variety of areas:
- Parenting, child development and family health skills
- Bonding, attachment and healthy parent-child relationships
- Mental health, addiction and domestic violence community referrals and connections
- Food and housing security
- Prenatal and postnatal referral and connections for mothers
- Schooling and daycare community connection for children
- Access to formal parenting programs within CFS Regina
- Individualized goals for each family unit
Eligibility
Requires a contract as well as a referral form if being referred through the Ministry of Social Services.
