Service Description

No-fee, three-hour workshop that empowers individuals to understand gender-based violence, and be positive allies. Offered virtually, at the YWCA, or a desired location and can be broken down into more than one session. Includes:

  • Understanding Gender-Based Violence and why it’s an issue for everyone
  • Rape Culture versus Consent Culture
  • Understanding power, privilege and intersectionality
  • Learning positive bystander intervention strategies
  • Healthy versus unhealthy relationships
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Healthy masculinity
  • Safe bystander intervention.
