Service Description
Provides temporary housing for children. Operates four Children’s Homes, which provide long and short-term stays for children with complex needs ages birth to 12, requiring special placement while in the care of the Ministry of Social Services.
- Kids In Transition Shelter (KITS) – Provides short-term housing for up to ten children while the work is done to determine the best placement for them by the Ministry of Social Services.
- Evergreen – Provides a long-term therapeutic home for children ages birth to eight with complex needs, in need of special placement while in the care of the Ministry of Social Services.
- Parker Place – Provides a long-term therapeutic home for children ages birth to 12 with complex needs, in need of special placement while in the care of the Ministry of Social Services.
- Siphko-Mihkinahk Asiniy Waskahikan (Blue Turtle Rock House) – Provides a long-term therapeutic home for children ages birth to 12 with complex needs, in need of special placement while in the care of the Ministry of Social Services.
