Service Description

Provides community education, prevention and intervention services upon request to schools, service clubs, parents, professionals and anyone wishing further information on alcohol and/or other drug issues.  Topics can include:

  • Impairing effects of alcohol
  • Phases of alcohol addiction
  • Chemical dependency: the feeling disease
  • Marijuana
  • Crystal Meth
  • Other drugs
  • Alcoholism and the family
  • Adolescent stages of use
  • Basic principles of intervention
  • Enabling behaviours.

Programs are offered free of charge and can be tailored to suit your needs.

Eligibility

Schools, service clubs, parents, professionals and anyone wishing further information on alcohol and/or other drug issues.

Contact Addiction Services at (306) 786-0558 or toll free at 1-888-989-8444.

Self-referrals and referrals from physicians or other health professionals are accepted.

When you contact Mental Health and Addiction Services, you will be connected with an intake worker whose role is to gather information from you, assess your needs and connect you with the right service(s).
