Service Description

Provides a ten bed, four month, residential program for Indigenous female youth, between the ages of 12 and 17 years, who are experiencing difficulties related to abuse of inhalants, drugs, and alcohol. The Treatment Program: 

  • is culturally based and family oriented
  • provides intensive casework and group sessions to review individual problems and uncover existing strengths
  • philosophy is that it is equally important to integrate relaxation, recreation, life-skills, formal education, and cultural activities into a positive therapeutic interdisciplinary treatment model
  • is based on a holistic treatment model including the Spiritual, Emotional, Mental, and Physical
  • includes participation in the Equine Assisted Learning program twice per week  

Eligibility

Indigenous female youth 12 - 17 years of age who are experiencing difficulties related to abuse of inhalants, drugs, and alcohol.
