  • Goals are to:
    • Provide high quality care in a safe, warm, inviting, nurturing environment in which each child can develop at their own pace.
    • Provide affordable, convenient, dependable child care services.
    • Assist children in their exploration of the world around them through a variety of enriching experiences.
    • Develop positive self-image, a feeling of self-worth and competence.
    • Learn to live effectively with others and to value one’s own rights and the rights of others.
    • Create opportunities to succeed physically, intellectually and socially
    • Facilitate and expand language skills, stimulate curiosity and strengthen gross and fine motor skills.
    • Develop emotional stability by helping children cope with their feelings and understand the difference between how they feel and how they act.
    • Help children develop social awareness through interaction with other children and responsible, accepting adults.

Programs and Activities

  • Are committed to fostering each child’s self-esteem, feeling of self-worth and value through the provision of stimulating activities and positive caregiving that will promote their emotional, physical, social and intellectual growth and development.
  • Each child is recognized as a unique individual who brings their own gifts to the program and deserves to be given the encouragement and space to try new things, explore new ideas and develop their own unique creativity.

Nutrition

  • Provision of good nutritious meals and snacks are important to the centre.
  • Plan meals and snacks based on Canada’s Food Guide and recommendations from The Ministry of Education, Early Years Branch.
