Child Care

A licensed child care facility that provides care and supervision for up to 20 children between the ages of 18 months and 12 years.

Parents are required to assist with fundraising.

Philosophy

• Work hard to create a safe, relaxed, natural, and nurturing environment that allows children to develop at their own rate.
• Aim is to help the children develop socially, emotionally, physically, and creatively through play and exploration.
• Will work with parent/guardians to become a team that helps the child(ren) develop to their greatest potential and for them to provide the best possible care.

Programs and Activities

• Run a play-based program that gives the children opportunities to choose their activities and foster their own independence.
• Staff works with the children to meet each child’s individual needs and scaffold their learning.
• Programming follows the child’s lead to provide opportunities that interest the children.
• Activities include indoor and outdoor free play time, group time, and quiet/nap time.

Nutrition

• Provide two healthy snacks and a healthy lunch during the day.
• Believe providing and teaching children about nutrition is important for the children to learn why we need to eat healthy.
• Healthy food also provides the children with the nutrition they need to play and learn during the day.
• If a child requires a special diet parents will need to provide the food for their child if they cannot have what is on the menu.
