Child Care

A licensed child care facility that provides care and supervision for up to 46 children between the ages of six weeks and six years. Child Care Subsidy accepted. 

NOTE: The waitlist is closed for the foreseeable future.

Centre has a fundraising policy for parents. Parents have the option to opt out with a fee.

Philosophy

• Believe in providing high quality childcare in a safe and secure learning environment.  
• Believe their centre is the platform where every child will thrive while learning in a nurturing environment.
• Believe this is done through providing children with experiences and play-based learning opportunities, and offering supportive resources to families within the community.

Programs and Activities

• Centre creates indoor and outdoor learning environments where children learn through play and experiences daily. 
• Activities are driven by the children’s interests and are expanded into learning opportunities by the staff. 
• Activities, invitations, and sensory bins are out daily – as well as time for free play – children have the choice to do the activities or to continue on their own play adventure. 
• Children are free to move throughout the learning environment as they see fit. 

Nutrition

• Follow the regulations set out from the Ministry of Education and the Canada Food Guide. 
• Children are offered two snacks and a lunch daily. 
• Meals are provided by an on site cook who enjoys preparing nutritious snacks and meals. 
• Centre is also certified in Healthy Start. 
• Children have choices at meal time – work on skills such as pouring their milk, serving themselves, and scraping their plates and putting their dishes in the dish bin. 
• Centre asks that parents discuss any food allergies and sensitivities with the Director during enrollment.
