Support Group – After Suicide Support

Provided by: Suicide Grief Support Saskatoon

View information about this organization

Service Description

Provides an intensive, therapeutic style, closed group which meets weekly for twelve weeks for individuals over the age of 18. Loss may have occurred at any time. This group is smaller and consistent with the same attendees throughout.

Facilitators guide survivors through a different topic related to suicide, using various therapeutic methods, and help participants to safely share their story in a supportive environment. Facilitators are empathetic, experienced, and have each lost a loved one to suicide themselves, and therefore inherently understand the unique kind of loss.

NOTE: If you require immediate assistance, Rapid Access Counselling (free, quick access, in-person or virtual mental health services) is available through Counselling Connect Saskatchewan. Book online.
