Service Description

Assists victims and witnesses of crime and traumatic events. Offers:

  • Support ServicesProvides crisis intervention, information, support and referrals, and court services.
  • Victims Compensation – Victims are able to apply for reasonable expenses resulting from criminal acts of personal violence.
  • Restitution – Victims of a crime may be entitled to compensation for the actual loss or damage resulting from a crime.
  • Victim Witness Services – Provides information and support.

Serves the areas of Yorkton, Melville, Wadena, Wynyard, Esterhazy, Canora, Moosomin, Kamsack, Ituna, Foam Lake, Kipling, Langenburg, Sturgis and Broadview.

Eligibility

Victims of crime and traumatic events.

Application Process

- You can self-refer by contacting Victim Services.
- An RCMP Officer may send a referral or contact the office on your behalf.
- A Crown Prosecutor may send a referral to the office on your behalf.
- Another person, community agency or group may contact the office on your behalf.
