Service Description
Provides care which centres on achieving the best possible quality-of-life for a person at the end of life’s journey. Focuses on providing for the needs of people living with a life-ending illness. Includes:
- 12-bed Palliative Care Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital
- Consultation teams at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon City Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital
- Palliative consultation for long term care facilities in the region
- Palliative care beds in Humboldt, Lanigan, Nokomis, Rosthern, Wadena, Wakaw, Watrous, and Wynyard
- Palliative care volunteer program and bereavement support services.
Eligibility
Client Patient Access Services determines eligibility for special care homes, home care, community therapies, and community volunteer services - call for details.
