Service Description
Provides pharmaceuticals, information and support for residents of the Athabasca Basin. A pharmacist visits four days each month. Duties include:
- Distributes medications
- Reviews medications with clients
- Offers explanations about each medication, how it works, what to expect, possible side effects
- Consults with healthcare professionals.
Eligibility
Individuals needing prescriptions, medical information and support.
Application Process
Obtain a prescription from a physician and contact a pharmacist at 1-800-561-1119.
To set up a medication review, call the Pharmasave in Prince Albert toll-free at 1-800-561-1119 and ask for the AHA Pharmacists.
