Service Description
Offers a transportation service for handicapped or disabled persons residing within the town of Assiniboia and a 15 kilometer radius outside town limits.
Eligibility
- Individuals living within the town limits of Assiniboia who are unable to use conventional transportation and is handicapped or disabled.
- Be a resident of a nursing home
- Able bodied, intellectually/multiple challenged individuals who are under institutional care and unable to use conventional transportation with dignity
- In the event there is no local taxi service, this service may be expanded to include senior citizens if they are:
- eligible for old age security (65+)
- have no alternative options (family, friends support groups).
Application Process
Bookings must be made with 24 hours advance notice.
