Service Description
A long-term housing program that provides safe housing and support for women and children fleeing interpersonal violence. Twenty individual apartment units. Secure and safe location. On-site services include:
- Case management (action plans, goal setting, etc.)
- Advocacy (Ministry of Social Services, Legal, Mental Health, Education, Medical, etc.)
- Harm Reduction supports (transports, access, group, support, education, etc.)
- Individual and group programming
- Women’s programming
- Children’s programming
- Assistance with insecurities (food, financial, housing, etc.)

Eligibility
Women and/or gender-diverse individuals with children, who are fleeing violence.
Application Process
Individuals can call the office at 306-565-6050 to request an in-take. Assistance is available for navigating through the in-take application which consists of:
1. Initial call/contact
2. In-take interview - which determines eligibility and fit for the program. Potential clients are then either added to the current waitlist or referred to other community organizations, programs or services.
3. Review Meeting

Fees
All residents are expected to pay rent directly to SOFIA House. Rental rates are set at industry standard, and consider applicable assistance rates within Saskatchewan.
There are no additional fees associated with on-boarding into SOFIA House's program.
