Service Description
Offers government subsidized housing with rental costs based on income for low-income families whether single parent or couple, seniors, and persons with a disability.
Eligibility
Eligibility Families, seniors, students and people with disabilities who can live independently and quality for a disability pension or who cannot work because of a disability. - Must be at least 18 years of age - Household income is below an amount set by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (contact for information) Applicants Are Not Eligible If: - If you own your own home or if you own a home and you do not live in it - If you owe any money to the utility companies or previous landlords NOTE: Silver Sage will review an applicant's income, current living situation and personal and family requirements. Priority will be given to households with greatest need.
Application Process
Applicants can apply two ways:
1. Apply online OR
2. Download the application form and submit the completed application with supporting documents to: reception, mail or email. All documents will be held for 3-6 months.
Documents Required
1. 2 - Written Landlord References, or a Character Reference (cannot be from a family member) 2. Proof of Income: Pay/Cheque Stub 3. Current Tax Assessment from each household member over the age of 18 4. Copy of current utility bill (Power, Water & Energy) 5. Government ID or Treaty Status for Applicants & Dependents 6. Proof of Legal Guardianship or Custody of Dependents (Provincial or Federal)
