Service Description
A licensed child care facility that provides care and supervision for up to 45 children between the ages of 18 months and 6 years. Child Care Subsidy accepted.

Philosophy
- To promote and encourage acceptance and participation where difference is valued, where the rights of all children are respected and children benefit from opportunities for healthy development and learning.
- Program and centre are strongly grounded in respect for human diversity – strive to have all children and families feel welcome in their program and to feel that their culture is reflected and supported within their program.
- Believe diversity provides children with the opportunity to experience a wide range of cultures, languages, abilities, appearances, and beliefs in a positive environment.
- Believe that developing a respect for human diversity in early childhood contributes considerably to development of accepting communities in the future.
Programs and Activities
- Daily program allows for a balance of activities including:
- individual and small group activity.
- activities that promote physical, cognitive, language, emotional, and social development.
- indoor and outdoor activity.
- active and quiet play.
- structured and free choice activity.
- child initiated and adult initiated activity.
Nutrition
- Meals and snacks are prepared in the kitchen at SIGN.
- Menus are nutritionally balanced, with care being taken to use as little sugar and preservatives as possible.
- An emphasis is placed on a wide variety of fresh fruit and vegetables; also meat, fish, cheese, and egg dishes.
- The menus are planned on a rotating cycle – menus are changed/periodically revised.

Children 18 months - 6 years of age. May be able to accommodate children with delays and differing needs. Please contact for further information.
