Service Description
Aims to ease the settlement process for children in school. Assists with:
- school registration process
- provides support to students as they transition into a new school system
- arranges student/parent meetings, including 3-way conferences
- bridges the gap between home and school communication
- provides interpreter / translator services
- family support
- registration for extracurricular activities
- promotes cultural sensitivity in the school and community
- connects families with resources and services in the community.
Eligibility
Individuals who are new to Canada.
