Service Description
Operates a service dog program for Military, Veterans and Public Safety Personnel individuals who are experiencing OSI (Operational Stress Injury) and PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Find out more about the target demographic on the website.
Provides financial aid for those who are in the target demographic. The acquisition and training cost per dog is approximately $25,000.
NOTE: Operational Stress Injury (OSI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) sometimes comes with crippling fears and anxieties that make it impossible for frontline workers to go out in public. Service dogs are used to ensure their handler’s safety and health. Additionally, they can restore the ability to perform routines and activities without incident or problem.
Eligibility
Military, Veterans and Public Safety Personnel who: 1. Meet the criteria of being one of the target demographic</a>; 2. Are diagnosed with an OSI (Operational Stress Injury) and/or PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder); 3. Hold a doctor's prescription for a Service Dog.

The majority of services come at no cost to the individual. Some fundraising by the Service Dog recipient may be required.
