Scholarships and bursaries are available to support students’ secondary and post-secondary education, as well as teachers wishing to expand their skills. Options include:

  • Scholarships and Bursaries for High School Education
    • Funded Programs for French Studies: Students in grades 8 to 12 who are interested in exploring another francophone region of Canada while learning or practicing their French-language skills can apply for Destination Clic or Explore.
    • Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall Scholarship: Grade 11 students can be nominated for a $500 scholarship to enable them to finish grade 12. Nomination must come from a Saskatchewan high school nominating team.
  • Scholarships and Bursaries for Post-Secondary Education
    • Agriculture Student Scholarship: Offers four scholarships to Grade 12 students and recent high school graduates that are pursuing agriculture-related post-secondary education.
    • Fellowship and Travel Scholarships to Study in French: Post-secondary students may receive a scholarship to study French in Saskatchewan or out-of-province.
    • Final Clinical Placement Bursary: A bursary for students in an eligible health discipline who must complete a final clinical placement as a requirement of program completion.
    • Indigenous Languages Scholarships: First Nations University of Canada Indigenous languages students can apply for The Solomon Ratt Indigenous Language and Language Literacy Scholarship, the Indigenous Language Revitalization Entrance Scholarship, and the First Nation Language Instructor Certificate Scholarship.
    • Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Scholarship: Awarded to grade 12 students who will be attending a post-secondary institution in the fall. Nomination must come from a Saskatchewan high school nominating team.
    • Saskatchewan Advantage Scholarship: Provides $750 per year, to a lifetime maximum of $3,000 to eligible Saskatchewan grade 12 graduates attending a Saskatchewan post-secondary institution.
    • Saskatchewan Innovation and Opportunity Scholarship: Provides funding by the Government of Saskatchewan, matched with funds raised by post-secondary institutions through private sector and community-based partners. Post-secondary institutions distribute this scholarship.
    • Saskatchewan Lieutenant Governor Indigenous Scholarship: First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students can apply for a $20,000 scholarship to help pay for post-secondary education.
    • Saskatchewan Lieutenant Governor Scholarship: Graduate or post-graduate students of Saskatchewan can apply for a $20,000 scholarship.
    • Saskatchewan Scholarship of Honour: Returning Canadian Forces members or their family members can apply for a $5,000 scholarship to help pay for post-secondary education.
  • French Teacher Summer Bursary
    • French language teachers may be awarded a bursary of up to $2,000 through the French Teacher Summer Bursary program.
