School Programs for Teachers – Active Start / FUNdamentals

Service Description

Offers teachers the necessary tools to foster their Special Education Students’ physical literacy goals. The programs are available to any classroom that has students with intensive needs.

  • Active Start – A program that targets children with intellectual disabilities ages two to six. Throught the program, children learn basic motor skills such as walking, running, jumping and throwing in a fun and safe environment.
  • FUNdamentals – This program is a continuation of the Active Start Program for athletes ages seven to twelve. This program transitions from basic movement skills to basic sports skills, while maintaining an atmosphere of fun and meaningful interaction.

Children (ages 2-12) with an intellectual disability, cognitive delay, or a developmental disability who reside in Saskatchewan
