Service Description
Provides an adoption service for animals that are rescued and need new homes. Visit the website to view adoptable cats, dogs and exotics pets, or to complete an application.
Each cat or dog adopted from the Saskatoon SPCA includes:
- Spay/neuter surgery
- Age-appropriate vaccinations
- Microchip
- Deworming treatments
- Discount on Saskatoon SPCA Pawsitive Pups classes
- Post-adoption wellness check with one of their partner veterinarians.
Eligibility
Must be 18 years of age or older to adopt.
Application Process
1. Visit the website to view adoptable animals or visit in-person.
2. Fill out an application online. Click on the image of which animal you wish to adopt.
3. Meet and greet the animal (dogs only).
4. An adoption counsellor will process the application.
NOTE: Submitting an application does NOT guarantee adoption.
Fees
Cats All cats/kittens are currently "Pick your Price", starting at a minimum donation of $25. Cats/kittens located at satellite locations: $125.
Dogs
Adult - 9 months and older:
$315 Puppy - under 9 months: $445
Desirable Breed Adult: $465
Desirable Breed Puppy: $575
(Adoption Hold $50)
Small Animals
Guinea Pig: $30
Gerbil/Hamster/Rat: $20
Rabbit: $45 Mouse: $15
Degu/Hedgehog: $45
NOTE: Satellite locations are Saskatoon Petland Stonebridge (cats available), Petland Conferation (cats available), PetSmart Meadows Market Meadows (cats available), PetValu Canarama Shopping Centre (cats available), and PetValu Martensville (cats available), Martensville Building and Home Centre.
