Service Description

Settlement and Community Support Services at SODS include:

  • Community Connections (mentoring, matching and volunteering)
  • Cultural Bridging information sessions, training sessions and presentations
  • Cultural and social events
  • Senior’s programs
  • Partnership building
  • Settlement Support Workers in Schools (SSWIS): a school-based outreach program that connects newly arrived families with services and resources in the school and community
  • Youth programs, including in-school programming, after-school programming (mentorship, educational, leadership and recreational programming) and special event programming.
