Youth Empowerment Series
Provided by: Saskatchewan Voice of People with Disabilities Inc
Offers GIRL POWER and YES CAMPS for youth (14-29) with any disability. Camps teach and inspire youth through self-esteem building activities and engage youth in conversation to develop self-advocacy tools and leadership. No cost. Transportation and attendant care are provided if needed.
Camps are 1 or 2 days in length and are offered throughout the year. They are facilitated by trained personnel and volunteers. Topics of discussion may include:
- Healthy relationships/boundaries
- Internet safety
- Goal setting and planning
- Making friends
- Asking for help
- Trendy technology.
Youth with disabilities ages 14 to 29 years.
