Service Description
School youth programs for children with intellectual disabilities,
- offered in Estevan, Moose Jaw, Regina, Saskatoon and Swift Current
- Active Start: a family-centered program where children learn basic motor skills such as walking, running, jumping and throwing in a fun and safe environment
- FUNdamentals: this program is a continuation of the Active Start Program for athletes, and transitions from basic movement skills to basic sports skills, while maintaining an atmosphere of fun and meaningful interaction
Eligibility
Programs are available to any classroom that has students with intensive needs
Application Process
Call 306-780-9401 or email chamilton@specialolympics.sk.ca, and fill out form
Contact to schedule a free, 1-hour "Try It!" Camp that covers all aspects of both programs
