Service Description
Provides:
- Advocacy on behalf of a child or group of children to resolve matters through non-adversarial approaches
- Investigations into any matter concerning a child/youth or group of children/youth, or services to a child/youth or group of children and/or youth by any provincial ministry or agency
- Public education to raise awareness of the rights, interests and well-being of children and youth.
Anyone can call or email the Advocate for Children and Youth, particularly a child or youth, if they have a concern about a child or youth, or group of children or youth receiving services from a provincial ministry or agency.
All contacts with agency are confidential.
Eligibility
Advocacy services for children and youth to age 18.
