Service Description
Offers rental housing for Métis and First Nations families and individuals. Rent paid is based on household income.
Eligibility
Applications are approved based on need with consideration to the following: - Métis and First Nations families and individuals - are homeless - spend more than 30% of their household income on shelter and utilities - live in a home without enough bedrooms to accommodate the size of family - live in a home that is in poor condition, aggravates a health problem, or is unsuitable because of a physical disability
Application Process
1) Download and complete an application form available on the website
2) Print and submit completed application package
Documents Required
1) Complete application form 2) Landlord Reference form covering the past two-year period 3) Written Credit Reference covering the past two-year period 4) Income Verification from all sources 5) Copy of health cards for all household members 6) Copy of Métis Card / Treaty Card of all household members. Contact the agency if support is needed to complete the application or gather all documents required (no established credit or rental history / unable to obtain a positive reference / no Métis Card).
