Service Description
English language assessment and training services
Services include:
- government-funded English language training for eligible newcomers – Language Instruction for Newcomers (LINC) Program, Stage 1 and 2
- language placement testing (CLBPT)
- language assessment information and guidance
Childcare and transportation assistance may be available – contact for more information
Eligibility
- 18 years or older
LINC program
- permanent residents, Protected Person, or refugees
- CLB 1-4
Stage 1 and 2 English classes
- work permit holders or Canadian citizens
- CLB 1-7
Application Process
- Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test (CLBPT) required through Language Assessment and Referral Centre (LARC)
- registration required after assessment at the at the Regina Open Door Society
- in-person registration
