Service Description

Provides specialized care for adults with neurological impairment or dysfunction.

Stroke Prevention Clinic

  • Provides public education and early identification and treatment of people at risk of stroke. Clinic are held on a weekly basis. Group classes include information on:
    • how strokes occur
    • risk factors
    • healthy eating
    • medications
    • stress
    • exercise

Acute Stroke Unit

  • Provides special care within the first three to seven days after a stroke.

Acute Occupational Therapy

  • Provides support to enable individuals to function as independently as possible.

Acute Physiotherapy

  • Provides assessment, treatment and education to neurological patients and their families.  Outpatient follow-up is also provided to clients discharged from hospital.

Adults with neurological impairment or dysfunction.
