Service Description

Person-centered, neuro-affirming recreational programs/activities where individuals build skills and interact with peers, such as

  • Improv: classes (10-weeks) offered in partnership with the Globe Theatre and provide a safe environment to try out acting and improvisation skill with an emphasis on spontaneity and social skills throughout
  • Cooking Program: available in 10-week (Fall/Winter) and 8-week (Spring) sessions, these classes teach participants a variety of skills such as recipe planning, budgeting, food preparation, cooking, following recipes, and time-management
  • Active with ARC: provides opportunities for participants to socialize and stay active, such as nature walks in Wascana Park (warm months), and access to fitness equipment, badminton and an indoor track (colder months)
  • Grow with ARC: weekly program where members have the opportunity to connect with nature, learn about gardening, and meet others with common interests
  • Women’s Group: provides and opportunity for young women to connect and try new activities on a monthly basis
