Service Description
Helps Indigenous victims of crime and traumatic events and their families by providing culturally appropriate services such as information, support and referral. Indigenous Resource Officers are the liaison between the police and the Indigenous community, providing prevention and early intervention services.
Serves the areas of Yorkton, Melville, Wadena, Wynyard, Esterhazy, Canora, Moosomin, Kamsack, Ituna, Foam Lake, Kipling, Langenburg, Sturgis and Broadview.
Eligibility
Indigenous victims of crime and tragic events.
Application Process
Call the Victim Services Program telephone number and request service. You may be asked to leave a voice message and your contact information but someone will return your call. Or contact your local RCMP Detachment for referral to the Aboriginal Resource Officer Program.
