Cadet Training Program

Service Description
Extensive 26-week basic training course offered at the RCMP Academy in Regina, Saskatchewan. Upon successful completion of the Cadet Training Program, generally individuals will be hired as an RCMP police officer. Training will continue throughout the first posting. Officers will be coached and mentored by experienced police officers as part of a six-month Field Coaching Program.
Cadet training is offered in English and in a bilingual format (English and French). Cadets train in the following areas:
- Applied Police Sciences
- Firearms
- Police Defensive Tactics
- Police Driving
- Fitness
- Drill and Deportment.
