Child Care

A licensed child care facility that provides care and supervision for up to 23 children between the ages of six weeks and 12 years.

Parents/guardians are required to participate in four fundraisers per year.

Philosophy

• Believes that children primarily learn through play and is therefore committed to providing a fun learning environment that allows each child opportunities to explore the world around them in safe, nurturing and age-appropriate ways.
• Strive to provide children with age and developmentally appropriate activities that compliment their unique personalities, needs, and skills.
• Staff are passionate individuals with a desire to teach and play with each child while providing them with the guidance needed to excel and succeed in life and developmental skills.

Programs and Activities

• Operate with a play-based program.
• Focus on fine motor skills, gross motor skills, imagination, and child-led activities.
• Spend time every day outside and spend a good portion of the day with free play where they allow the child to explore their surroundings, make up fun games, and engage with the child on their level.
• While they do have scheduled activities, they always follow the lead of the child and seek to plan and implement activities that follow the interests of the child.

Nutrition

• Believe that healthy meals are essential to children’s learning and development – As such, all meals are planned according to Canada Food Guide Requirements.
• Serve fruit and veggies every day.
• Serve a variety of different foods to introduce as many food groups to the children as possible.
