Service Description
Offers an in-person, 6 – 12 month program for adults to improve their math, reading and writing skills to prepare them for the Adult 12 program. Participants will build life and job skills, participate in community events, make new connections, build confidence, learn to set goals and make a realistic career plan.
Program includes:
- Resume writing
- Professional communication strategies
- Interview skills
- How to successfully apply for jobs online
- Budgeting
- Computer skills
- Typing
- and more…
Students will also participate in:
- Personal development
- One-on-one goal setting and career planning
- Indigenous Learning Course
Eligibility
Ages 16 and up who have not completed a traditional grade 12 diploma.
Application Process
Complete the online application at www.ignite.ca, write an entrance test for placement in appropriate program to ensure success and attend an interview.
