Service Description

Provides post secondary financial assistance.

Eligibility

- Be a Treaty Status student registered to the Fishing Lake First Nation.
- Have successfully met the admission requirements of the post-secondary institution.
- Hold a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (ABE 12, Adult 12, or GED 12).
- Be enrolled in a post-secondary program of study with a minimum duration of 8 to 10 months or 32 to 40 weeks.
- Not be in receipt of funding from another sponsoring agency, with the exception of scholarships, student loans, or bursaries.

Complete on-line application and forward to band office.

Documents Required

Applicants must submit the following:

- Official Grade 12 transcript from the provincial Department of Education.
- Copy of Treaty Status certificate.
- Letter of acceptance from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Registration of classes. (Full-time status requires enrollment in four classes or twelve credit hours per semester. Enrollment in fewer than four classes or twelve credit hours will be considered part-time.)
- Letter of intent outlining skills, interests, and career goals.
- Completed application form.
