Child Care

A licensed child care facility that provides care and supervision for up to 32 children between the ages of six weeks and five years. Child Care Subsidy accepted. 

Parent/guardian fundraising required.

Philosophy

• Principle goal of their child care corporation is to provide a happy, healthy, and stimulating environment for children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years.
• Believe that they educate out love for the children and treat every child the same.
• Believe children who feel loved and cared for learn and absorb more information in the long run.
• Believe that a whole rounded education is the best for the child like problem solving, social skills, independence, etc.
• Centre works closely with the parents and talks with them daily about their children.

Programs and Activities

• Follow the play and exploration program.
• Daily schedule/program allows children to make choices about activities and fosters independence.
• Adaptations are made to meet the needs of individual children.
• Daily schedule/program allows the interests of children to determine the learning content.
• Have a schedule that includes indoor and outdoor play, free time, and child led teacher activities.
• Centre tries to speak michif to the children to give them a head start, since they also learn michif in preschool and school.

Nutrition

• Believe nutrition helps the children develop good eating habits as they get older.
• Centre provides breakfast, lunch, and snack.
• Centre tries to accommodate the parents with the child’s needs.
