Service Description
Care home for 139 residents requiring long-term care.
- Offers two 16-bed specialized communities designed for those with dementia.
- Services include a recreation program that is supported by volunteers, spiritual care, and a physiotherapy program. Other services include a library and hair salon.
Amenity space includes:
- a large main lounge
- chapel
- wood working room
- Snoezelen room (a controlled multi-sensory environment (MSE) room for people with autism and other developmental disabilities, dementia or brain injury)
- destination green house.
There is also outdoor space provided for each community.
Eligibility
Restricted to people who are assessed as being on the priority waiting list at the Saskatchewan Health Authority's Client Patient Access Services (CPAS). Oliver Lodge is a smoke free residence.
Application Process
Admissions to for long term care and the Community Day Program are handled by the Saskatoon Health Region's Client Patient Access Services (CPAS) at 306-655-4346. Admissions are prioritized on a district-wide basis.
Fees
Service - The cost of accommodation is based on income and will be calculated by the Saskatchewan's Ministry of Health. For more information on calculation of fees, call them at 1-800-667-4884. The fee is standard in all Special Care Homes in the province. The CPAS should be able to tell you the current range of costs.
