Abortion Support (Before, During, After)
Provided by: Saskatoon Abortion Support Network
Service Description
Volunteer abortion doulas in Saskatoon and surrounding areas offer free in-person, talk and text, and practical support to people before, during, and after abortion.
- The Saskatoon Abortion Support Network is a pro-choice organization.
- Support is individually tailored to overcome the barriers that a person may experience before, during, and after abortion, including: in-person support; driving to and from appointments; staying with you at the hospital; talk and text support before or after your abortion; practical support, such as travel, accommodation, help finding a pharmacy to fill your Mifegymiso (abortion pill) prescription; and more.
- All services are offered by volunteers, and as such that may limit capacity to meet all needs. The organization is committed to the belief that the right to abortion is a fundamental human right, and as such will make every effort to meet support needs, or connect with organizations who can assist when the organization cannot.
