Service Description

Visit the website for information on income tax filing and payment deadlines related to COVID-19.

The CRA encourages everyone to file their income tax returns as soon as possible, even though payment deadlines were extended.

**** At this time, there are several ways for you to file your own tax return:

  1. Netfile – there are a variety of CRA certified software packages that run on computers, phones and tablets that are free to use for low to modest income individuals and families. Some of these may ask for a voluntary donation when you go to file your tax return. Most are easy to use. If you have a CRA My Account, you can download your tax slips right into the programs. To find the list of software packages, search for “CRA certified software.”
  2. If your situation and income doesn’t change much from year to year, you may have received a letter from CRA that says “File My Return”. This invites you to file your tax return over the telephone.
  3. If you want to try Paper Filing your return, you can order a set of forms by calling 1-855-330-3305. You can also download the forms at Look for the Income Tax and Benefit Return for your province. ****
