Service Description
Provides emotional, spiritual, physical, and mental support to Indian residential school survivors (IRSS), their families and communities through programming and case management. Offers services that promote a holistic approach to overall well-being.
Includes:
- Elder support
- All gender, adult support groups
- Advocacy and support:
- Help in assisting with Day-school/60s scoop applications
- Advocacy, support at talking circles, and legal proceedings
- Programs, services, and events for Indian residential school survivors (IRSS) and their family members using both Traditional and non-Traditional healing practices
- Women’s Group every Wednesday and various classes, workshops, and programming for women and community members such as Ribbon skirt making, Star blanket making, Medicine picking, Berry picking, and more.
- Referral to other wellness support services or professional counselling
- A safe place to drop in and chat
