Service Description

A program based on the Twelve Steps of Nar-Anon offering recovery and support for families and friends of addicts.

  • Not a religious program. Not affiliated with other organizations or any outside entity.
  • A spiritual program with an acceptance of the idea of dependence upon a Higher Power to help in solving problems and achieving peace of mind.
  • Members share their experiences, strength, and hope at weekly meetings.
  • Purpose: to help families of addicts by practicing the Twelve Steps of Nar-Anon, by encouraging and understanding addicted relatives, and welcoming/giving comfort to families of addicts.
  • Meetings are confidential.
  • Meetings do not provide advice, indulge in gossip, or criticism and do not discuss religion, treatment centers, or self-help groups.
  • Individual religious beliefs are considered a personal matter, and a point is made to avoid discussions regarding specific faiths.

Eligibility

For those who have known a feeling of desperation due to the addiction of someone close to them.

Application Process

To join, attend a meeting.
